NCStudio - Auto Tool Sensing 3 axes

    Good Morning.

I found this on the web. My machine has the automatic sensor for the Z.

Does anyone know if it's possible to put this doing the 3 axes in NcStudio?

its pending on what ncstudio you have

if you have the original, then weihong helps you

if you have the clone version then your simples solution is touching the 4 side and using calculator figuring the center

are you working with wood or you making metal parts?

What I have came with the machine.

    I think it's original.
but you know how the Chinese are.

how can I know if it's original if it's clone?

if version is 5.5 or 5.6 or 5.4 then its clone

    not much less from original

if you need exact position then just hold down some stops made out of scraps then mill them

then your part is on exact position..

99 percent of jobs you going to cut the outer edges too
so not critical the position to 0.01 mm

if you opened pdf, you can see on your control theres a toolsensor terminal

this pdf, for the ncstudio V10 describes how you can use the
in the 3.2.3 chapter describes how you can set rough values as parameters to using the gadget originally you posted

    Thanks for the answer.

I'll try to study this a bit and see if I can do anything.

Already tried to contact weihong, for another problem.
But they did not support it.
They told me to go and talk to whoever sold me the machine.

So you're saying that I can install the V10 version of NcSudio?

    I'm using the V8.

    well

what you mean try to study a bit?
if you don't read the manual, then you wont figure it out..

when did you buy this machine?
    what machine is it?
have you ever read the manual?

weihong has the V8 and V10 uploaded on their site

you better off follow the manual, that says what version can be installed..

I know what I were do.. but I can not tell you install it..
the V10 manual says V10 works with your card, but I didn't say you have to install it

the V8 also has the auto centering function

    see 45 page

if you don't do your home work, then no one can help..

I know you did not tell me to install the V10. I asked if I could?

I bought my machine in china. Chinese manuals are very limited.

I'm learning by the way. And with the help of people like you who help me in the forums.

    This is my machine:

The card is the same, but the Lambada is weaker.
    Mine is the Lambada 3L.

Re: NCStudio - Auto Tool Sensing 3 axes

    you got a great machine
I know people bought from blue elephant and they like it

the program associated with the card you have in the computer
trough on pci bus is very reliable

this is the version 8 docu..
    http://weihong.com.cn/en/uploads/sof...60Q6111540.pdf

I firmly believe the version ten should be ok, but I can not tell you go ahead and install..

I think very minimal the real difference between V8 and V10

the links I posted, please download the PDFs and really jump on and start to read them

very important don't try to set what they were set...
for the original question theres the option to install an auto zero..

but I think first try to use stops to align parts..
its safer and I think faster

either way use the popup pins if they installed or screw down on the spoilboard scrap pieces and mill to a known measurement..

    by the way
what kind of job you plan to do with the machine?

my friend has a shop , and he makes doors windows to the 63 or the 68 mm standard..
but he purchased an Italian door-window machine..

    I do not have.
when it was negotiated it was to have. but then there was a mistake from them and it did not work.
    made a discount.
I'm sorry I do not have it.

I want to make hurricanes for hinges on the doors and other things.

Re: NCStudio - Auto Tool Sensing 3 axes

first try to get a pendant

this is a very large sized machine to jogging and setting up from several meters distance

what is good thing, the Z axis sufficiently large if you need a horizontal spindle.. for working on doorslab edges like milling in the lock..

and again, download the PDFs and realy get learning it..

mechanically machine is good, and I think the control itself not less or worse from other controls..
so you need to get working the machine and producing some income with

im started with turbocnc, then mach3 then ncstudio

if I were have to back, I would choose turbocnc over mach3, altought that was lacking the continuous velocity..
