I threw this post together for testing.
But running in simulation mode, I seem to get better results with arcs.
Can you post the code you were running?

Started with an inlay project and I am still having problems with UCCNC.
Machine has no measurable backlash on any of the axes.
This is a pocket toolpath and I posted this also to UCCNC support.

Change the error tolerances from .03 to .001 or .002.
Reducing max unify can also get rid of the issue.
You're settings are telling UCCNC it can deviate by .03", and move up to 2" in a straight line if it's within .03".
The manual explains how the CV settings work, but you may need to read it a few times to understand it.

This can also be in the dxf file your bringing into UCCNC. Dxf files have similar export properties. Check these as well. Open the dxf file in the CAD program and check its not coarse polylines as you are cutting. I imagine the shape is an ellipse? If so it will be exported as a polyline in the dxf export. Before you cut something have a look at the toolpath in UCCNC and check its what you expect. Peter
Just looked at your code. The Gcode is created in vectorix? change the settings there as well. Its 1000's of lines of extremely small increments. Change it to make lines say 0.5mm long or even 1mm long for that sort of work. Will reduce the line count hugely and give same result. Peter

Thanks Dan, once I finish the test cuts in wood, I will switch
the spoil board to HDPE and start cutting metals with coolant.

Looks really good David the butterfly is very cool and turned out great! Can you post a picture of the birch showing the difference of edge quality at the different ipm? Also did you change spindle speed with the different feed rates? I'm just curious to see if there is any noticeable difference in the different slots you cut.
