Long time reader, needs help
I have two Haas SL30 2006 CNC lathes, both need the aluminum encoder ring replaced on the rear of the main spindle. Both have belt driven spindles from below I don't know the correct procedure to replace these rings ($95 ea.), if I can. I'm not planning on removing spindle from machine, but will be replacing the 4V main drive pulley on spindle and a new motor with pulley during repair (don't ask). I'm sure the old ring can be cut, but how do I install new ring without damaging spindle?
Any help will be appreciated
