    Question Surfacing macaroni

    Hello everybody,
Although I have been using Mastercam for 20 years, there is a simple surface geometry I have never been able to successfully create: a macaroni shape. I now need to create a model of a pipe elbow, so I need to figure out how to do it. I don't even know what surface type to use. Logic would suggest a revolved surface, but the axis of rotation is an arc, which is not allowed. I'm sure this is a simple thing to create, but I just have no idea how it's done. Somebody please school me.
    BTW, I use MasterCam X5.

    create surface .. extrude

    simplest instruction
across geom would be the starting circle &
    hole
along geom would be the track the circle axis would take ie the centreline track the circles would travel along....
.... read the note instructions (upper left of the screen) before you accept the selection at each stage.

look at the samples folder for how a shape is constructed
.... it looks like a bent pipe with different end diameters.
.... also the examples for port machining.

I think you meant swept. Extrude will not do it.

Got it! Thanks Superman, and CadCamSam for your correction. With both of your advise, I was able to finally make this shape. And it was as easy as I suspected it would be. Here is a screenshot of a test model.
