    Re: $200 Spindle Motor?

I finally was able to test the motor, and there is a problem.
The WS55-180 blinks red. With the Enable switch in one position I get repeated single blinks. In the other position I get what appears to be groups of 7.
The power supply gives 48.1vdc, and the motor windings are each about 4 ohms.
There are no hall effect wires from the motor. Do I need to do something with the terminals on the WS55-180?
Is there a list of blink codes somewhere?
    Thanks.

I don't think there are "blink codes" in this controller, it just flashes continuously when the motor is at zero speed. Do you have the potentiometer wired?

Yes, a 10K pot is wired. I checked it at the terminal block and it appears good Ends to +10v and GND and wiper to SV.

User Error! The GND connection was not secure. Problem solved.

I hate it when I get an error indication with no details.
