    Apologize for the confusion. I never said I did the conversion. I had a cat 40 tool that I used in My BT machine. I change that to out by hand. I do not have the tool anymore but I kept the pull studs in case I ever needed them again.

    I'm not sure what else you would have to change out to do the conversion. I did see a forum post that talked about doing the conversion some years ago. I know the tool change height needs to be adjusted when you switch to different tool holders.

    Kind of a follow up.
    I bought a whole bunch of CAT40 tool holders. The owner had a HAAS machine. Guess what? When you hold the CAT40 holder with the HAAS pull stud up against a TC22 BT40 holder and its pull stud, the CAT40 looked like it would work dimensionally. SO, I popped into the TC22 spindle and it popped right in. So, now I need to commit to buying the CAT40 Grippers from EMI...ouch....I'll probably sell my BT40 grippers.
