Exclamation Okuma mc-4va OSP5020M - dnc - new to cnc

    Hello!

We are a welding/engineering company in norway and have been wanting to get into the cnc business for a long time now. we recently picked up an okuma mc-4va with a osp5020m controller, we are new to cnc, and we want to be able to feed the program from the the pc, directly into the machine.

the machine has not been used with a pc before, so i really need help to figure out what i need to do, to make the machine work for us. and need to know what options i have.

    Help is desperately needed!!

    Thanks in advance.

Find a paper with machinetoll specfications. It is placed inside main control cabinet a usual. You can try to find the same on the file. All control options are marked there. Okuma name is "DNC" for part program feed through RS232. Don't be surprised if you don't have this option.
