Question New to cnc - Okuma mc-4va - program from pc

    Hello!

We are a welding/engineering company in norway and have been wanting to get into the cnc business for a long time now. we recently picked up an okuma mc-4va with a osp5020m controller, we are new to cnc, and we want to be able to feed the program from the the pc, directly into the machine.

the machine has not been used with a pc before, so i really need help to figure out what i need to do, to make the machine work for us. and need to know what options i have.

    Help is desperately needed!!

    Thanks in advance.

For part program transferring PC to NC you can use below method.

    1) Floppy diskettes (needed floppy drive)
    2) RS-232 method
    3) DNC method (needed hardware)
