Hi all, I’m trying to do a reverse run in mach3 in order to attempt to go back and try a pierce again, but the problem is when I do a reverse run the z axis moves up and hits the limit switch and there after it takes me back to 0 ,can someone please shed some light on this and explain how the reverse run should be done correctly?

I execute a reverse run procedure in the CAM process, like for example I want to clear all the fibers in wood that I just cut or shape, I just redo the program process but start in the ending of it all the way to the top. by the way I made all my CAM process a line method, in this way I can bore a hole, contour, shape 3D objects with just one single tool bit, no need for an ATC spindle, it`s like a one size fits all process.

I’m using plasma and sometimes need to redo curs ,so my problem is the z axis goes up after I hit feed hold then reverse run, I don’t understand why

in your case, disable the safe Z on your CAM process or slow down your feed rate speed during curves, in that way you dont have to come back and redo the plasma cut, you can set everything in the CAM process.
