    X axis way covers

We have a bad servo, we cannot get the x axis way cover off to get to the servo. We have all the screws out, but it is catching on something under the table. We cannot move the table because the servo is out. Any help would be appreciated.

There are springs that connect both x axis way covers under the table. I had to pull the cover, unhook the springs and hook them to a welding rod to keep them from shooting under the table.

Thanks, we are aware of the springs, but this is catching on something solid, I'm guessing we are going to have to manually jog the table, but so far we haven't had any luck.

HI Don, On the end of the table are the wipers, remove the 4 screws holding the wiper mount plate to the end of the table.

I have motors / drives etc. open till 9pm Mon - Sat.

    Bob,

We finally got it apart yesterday and ordered a motor online. I will have my shop foreman call you on Monday.

    Thanks,
    Don
