Help needed on how to install GRBL plugin

Guys, I have downloaded the GRBL plugin for CamBam, and am totally at a loss as to how to install it. I read something where you add the .dll files to the plugin folder in the CamBam installation, but I did that and nothing happens, it doesn't show up in the CamBam plugins dropdown. I also have no idea where I should be putting the rest of the files that came with the .dll files

Maybe it is obvious what to do to some, but I really am clueless about it!

    Cheers

Not a CamBam user but seems simple enough according to this:

    1. Did you restart CamBam (might be needed to re-read the plugins folder contents)
    2. Was the downloaded file corrupt - try downloading again

Thanks - followed what looks like pretty simple instructions, but to no avail. I'm thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling CamBam and retrying but can't see how it will turn out any different

    Cheers

Are you talking about the GRBLMachine plugin?
GRBL v1.1 Machine Control and GCODE sender Plugin

If so, I would ask on the Cambam forum, since the creator of the plug-in is very helpful:

Ah, would I be so lucky as to be able to join it! I have applied, and despite at least 20 attempts at getting the verification e-mail plus actually sending a message to the CamBam company, I have received nothing from either. They did take my money though!

Sorry to hear that. The Cambam is one of the most helpful and informative forums that I have joined. I am not at my CAM machine right now, but if I remember correctly the GRBLMachine plugin creates a new tab but no entry in the Plugins menu. See the below link for a picture.

Re: Help needed on how to install GRBL plugin

Yes, I registered in the forum, but didn't receive the verification e-mail; when I click on the 'need another activation e-mail?' link, all that I get is a screen saying a new activation e-mail has been sent, but no e-mail ever arrives.

As for the CamBam license code, that arrive with no problems a few hours after purchase, and I have tested CamBam to ensure that it is working fine. So CamBam is OK, but even after I sent CamBam a message saying that I cannot join the forum I still can't join, and more to the point I never even received a reply from them.

I will try to contact them again, but not sure if I'll get anywhere

    Cheers

SOLVED Re: Help needed on how to install GRBL plugin

    ********EDIT********SOLVED**********

Ok, I stumbled across the solution, more by luck than any judgement on my part - as is ever the case, I have to accept that I'l not brilliant with computer stuff.

The answer was to download and extract TWO of the downloads to the plugins folder found on this GRBL v1.1 Machine Control and GCODE sender Plugin , I have attached a picture of the two files I used. The explanation doesn't tell you to do both, and it looks like they are different versions of the same thing

I'd been banging my head on the table over this, and in the end it was a simple fix, so hopefully me putting it here will help prevent more bruises on foreheads!

As ever I'd like to extend my thanks for those who chipped in to help

(previous text) I have tried multiple times, including uninstalling CamBam completely and doing a fresh install and redownloading the plugin, but just can't get this working. Any ideas or suggestions welcomed!

    Cheers
