    Need help with 1996 BMC4020

The scale is off on my Y axis. 1.000" of indicator movement reads 1.085" on the machine. .100" reads .1085" so it's 8.5% off. What's up?

Go ‘Auxiliary’ ‘enter’ 100 ‘enter’ then go to CNC config, Y axis and then look at the pages to find the ‘counts per revolution’ for Y and compare it to X.

Thanks, I tried it. both axis say 4000 counts per revolution and 12MM per turn. Also, the zero set point keeps changing for Y. I can set zero and move the table around then when I check it it will be off .030-to .070"

Check the pulley is tight, the belt is ok and see if it comes back to 0.000 and has the little dot next to the Y on the position display. If it doesn’t, it is electrically miscounting.

I switched the x and y plugs under the honda board and the problem went to the x display and manual control. so you could say the problem stayed with the Y motor and encoder, etc.
