Okay.... I'm all wound up.... in a good way!!!!

Machine is finally moved in and electric will be finished today.

I'm a little worried about the pull bar, I'm not positive I have all the parts.

Looking in the collet tube, it's totally empty. I also have what I would call the collet pull tube that attaches with 8 screws. There is also a threaded ring that has a set screw on the side and holes for a spanner wrench. My biggest fear is I'm missing some parts. Am I missing anything,,, bearings,,, o-ring,,,, some impossible to find part,, or is it all there?

The draw tube was removed when I looked at the machine under power. I had no idea it was out. I did push the buttons to open and close the collet but nothing happened. Is there a way to test the hydraulics without a collet, with or without the puller tube in place? I have two fears,,, #1 Damage the lathe,,,, #2 Push the button and watch some tube rocket out of the machine, through the concrete block wall, across the street and through the glass at the grocery storefront and impaling a clerk. LOL... sorry!!!! Thoughts???

I'm pretty sure the cylinder will keep anything from shooting out the end It only has about a 1/4 inch or so of travel. Again, mine is a bit different setup, but I have cycled the closer without a collet or chuck in place.

You might set up a high speed camera and get a video of the launch

Very vivid imagination. Park you car between the wall and the store. That may slow the projectiles a bit.
