Yes, that seams to be what is happening. I probably not helping ether by not really knowing what I'm doing.

This seems to be the wiring info for your turret, if it is then maybe send the link to Mike and see if he can tell you how to wire and he should also be able to write the toolchange macro to suit. I actually think the macro the SZGH control comes with will be very similar.

It is just one I got from their site so maybe it is not the correct one.

    Hood,

I check it against the board I have on the lathe and the pin layout looks the same. Looking at the one CNC-makers sent me, I think its more connection options.

    Hood,

Question. With the CN5 driver plug, I have wired it the way Mike said but when I plug it in to the controller and the servo drives the controller will not power up, but it powers up no problems with it unpluged. I have checked the cable and I have had someone else also check it and it is as per the diagram from SZGH. Any suggestion?

Well my install of the SZGH CNC1000TDb on my lathe is chugging along and I'm down to the last few things. It probbely would have easier if had knowen a bit more about electronics,
After getting over the language diffrence (some times) Mike at SZGH has been a real help. Hood's write up's and video's have also helped to. I will put up some pictures when finished.

Retrofitting a Emco Compact 6 CNC and trying to figure out the tool change macro for it.
Any pointers setting up the toolchange using original grey code optos and 990Tdb?
Whos this Mike fellow you keep mentioning in SZGH? how to contact him?
I have only contacted some sales person, but no technical advice as of yet.
