Both look ok, except for one thing that stands out is the 5A rating for the spindle, I think that is incorrect that would be for a 380v spindle 220v spindle normally is 8A to 9A or close to it

The VFD is a normal HY VFD and will work well

Looking at the thumbnail picture, next to the main thumbnail picture, it shows 8A.
So, everything else is good?

I can understand how it happens. Cut and paste this cut and paste that. Just can't believe in why it happens.

You are good to go, Amazon is good to by from, have great deliveries, I can never say what you are getting is not faulty or is going to fail, everything is a gamble, at least with Amazon it can be an easy return if there is a problem

While I am waiting for my VFD and spindle to arrive. I need to run a cable and install an outlet for the 220.
That won't be so bad since the breaker box is nearby.

The power cord that goes to the spindle I have now is rated at 10 amps. Thats 20% higher than the specified current for the new spindle (8 amps.) It is 16 Ga., 4 wires, 300VAC. Do you think that is ok?

Always better to use one supply you need an extra wire but worth it so to do the 240v/120v supply you will have ( 2 ) hot wires a Neutral white and Ground wire so 4 wires

It has to be a shielded cable and Quality 16gauge is fine, only if it is shielded and with a high flex rating, the code requirement is 125%

The subpanel would be fed with a cable that can handle 30 amps (10/3) or 40 amps (8/3).

I don't have to enclose all the electronics in a $100+ enclosure/box do I?
If I don't need a box for everything, then can I use something like a Square D 30-Amp Fusible Metallic Disconnect?

You really should have a Box to put everything in, but a lot do have the VFD outside

From your main panel you would have to use a 4 wire cable not 3 as you have suggested using 10/3, you need a 4wire cable to be able to do 120v and 240v from the same supply you need a Neutral and a Ground

So from the main panel you would wire to a disconnect from the disconnect you would use a 2 Pole Breaker for the 240v and a single Pole Breaker for the 120v supply, these would need to be correctly mounted in a box along with everything else that you can fit in it for your machine

You mount every thing on a metal plate and this plate is Grounded with a ( star point Stud or Bus ) The metal Plate is called a Ground Plane

The 240v supply Voltage is wired / connected to the Disconnect Just the 2 Hot wires in your case most Disconnects are 3Pole but you only use 2 of the Poles for switching

Here is a disconnect and the Breakers you would use they don't have to be the same as this but they will be of a similar type

In regards to 4 wire cable, I would call it 10/4, but for some reason,Romex calls it 10/3 with ground. It has the four wires. Red, Black, White and bare. I can't blame this on Chinese. But yeah, I know what you meant.

Yes of course Romex is fine as long as it is installed correctly, Cable and Romex are to different things, most machines like CNC Routers are installed with a Cable from a wall plug

1. Do I need an EMI filter for the VFD supply?
2. Which should I use relays or contactors, that are also controlled by my E-stop switch, to turn off the VFD, Cooling pump, Stepper motor controller?

Didn't realize how expensive enclosures could be.
Saw this steel tool cabinet at a store nearby.
Its 28" x 28" x 12" for $80.00 Not very dustproof since there are no seals, but that's an easy fix.
The shelf is removable.

Would that suffice?
