    Solidworks in to mastercam file

    Hello everyone

We do a lot of concept with SolidWorks.

When the time has come to machine our concept:

We transfer our file to mastercam

And we do a '' dissassembly '' (powerful tool that allows us

to lay all the solids of our project and thus prepare its programming.

Mastercam helps us a lot because we have the possibility that programming changes in real time

if ever a piece would come to be modified in solidworks.

The only problem is that SolidWorks information

(BOM: The part number and its material) does not follow when transferred.

So for the moment, we are back to our old method witch take us a lot of time

means , each time in the layout,

make top views of each piece machined and

add the number of the piece.

Have anyone been trought this and find the '' eureka solution ''
    any advice are really welcome

    Thanks

    Patrick
