Thought i would post the repairs of my 6040 machine here. I sold it soon as my new machine was up and running. Decided to give it a quick inspection and cleanup, seems the loads of aluminium milling took their toll on the machine. All the roller and linear bearings need to be replaced, fortunately the ball screws and rails are all fine...

This machine gave me great service and i hope the same for the new owner

All the roller and linear bearings have now been replaced. The machine is almost fully assembled, waiting on another stepper drive cause i was asked to add one for a fourth axis.
These are really nice little machines when they work properly
