    Question 2017 Screenset on UCCNC : HY VFD not working as expected

    Hi,

    I loaded the 2017 Screenset last week and copied all of the macros across etc. working well, tool setting etc all good and I think the VFD speed control was working as expected (in the 2017 screenset)....until 2 days ago...

    I loaded UCCNC 2017 SS as normal, ran a test file and noticed that I couldn't change the Spindle speed from the last setting of 5000RPM. I can turn the spindle off and on ok with the M3 button and with an M3 command, but not set speed.

    After checking all of the settings without a fix, I closed and reloaded my original config that I used as a base for the 2017 screenset and it the speed control of the spindle worked perfectly. So I checked all settings to make sure the 2017 SS matched and it does...

    So I re-downloaded the HY Pluggin from Dan911 again and set up again on both screensets, original and 2017 and same result. it works in my original, but not the 2017 version.

    I am really scratching my head on this one...

    You need to edit the screen and change the RPM field to 2451 (I think it's 870).

    Re: 2017 Screenset on UCCNC : HY VFD not working as expected

    Spoke too soon, Now with ATC, it is not stopping the spindle for a tool change. I have to initiate a feed hold to stop the spindle to change the tool...
    Any Ideas on how it to make sure its sending an M5 on an M6 command?

    Your g-code should have an M5 to stop it.

    But you can add this to the M6 macro:

    exec.Stopspin();

    Just put it at the top right after:

    // 2017 Toolchange macro
