Anyone use one of these 6040 machines?

    Hi All,

Seeing as I'm reaching the point of binning my NEW CNC with the PRT-E1500W (well binning the controller at least) - has anyone bought one of these (see attachment), if so what's it like?

    Cheers
    Taff

You might be doing us a favour if you posted a bit about your current machine so we can get an idea of whats actually not good about it.It could save people time, money and exasperation if they understood what to look out for.

Yes, I think the 'blue' controller has a poor reputation. Bad wiring design, amongst other things.

Try and find someone local to help, if you can. I know its not always possible.

It's the tan box PRT-E1500W and in short the controller box is history, can't change the VFD to 400 as required - seems to be locked at D001 and D176 - no other codes work so it's stuck at 50.00. The seller has agreed to refund me providing I send it to China even though it was bought in Australia, sending it to China would cost a small fortune so I'll use it for spares and buy a different one.
