Mazatrol T-2 Controls Service Tech Needed - Northeast USA

    Hi All,

We just picked up a Mazak QuickTurn10 Lathe, running Mazatrol T-2 controls, and need a Mazak Tech to come out and service the machine controls. We know that Techs with T2 knowledge may be few and far between. We are open to covering airfare and travel time to the jobsite 2 hours north of Pittsbrugh PA plus service time and per diems.

Any help and thoughts you have on the topic, please advise.

    Thank you !
    Chuck Ferrell

    Hi Sudsy,

My dad, a retired machinist, bought this Quickturn 10 and wants it checked out. We have the original books and parameters but it looks like we are missing page 4 of the parameters.

Neither I nor him know the T2 control system so he wants an orientation on it. The T2 is not too intuitive so any insights we can get will be time and money well spent. The machine is in good condition and hope to crank out some parts on it.

Below are the parameters we have and need (asterisks) Also, P19 parameter is locked and wont take an entry of 0. Board batteries have been replaced.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

Can you check the HDD of your machine? Bad sector may make some parameter can not load.

The T-2 controls is vintage 1985. No hard drives just analog boards and chips to my knowledge.

Hi, I have a lot of expeience with both repairing, programming and runnign a QT10N-T2. Sold mine a few mounths ago.
    I currently running these machines: QuickTurn10ATC-T3, SlantTurn30ATC-T3, Multiplex620-T32-6 (T3 is the same as T2 but with C-axis)
I could help you to getting it up and runnig as long as there is nothing serius problem with the drives etc but since there is no alarm indicating that I think everything is OK with it.
I could also educate you in programming and handling it.
I am located in Sweden and I think we could agree on the costs etc.

Thank you benganboll, I will reach out to via a PM to discuss.

Skywalker4, unfortunately Mazak has not been too helpful with an M2 board replacement issue but I will reach out to them for possible recommendations on this T2 setup.

Sorry Sudsy, just got back on the forum. I am working on this issue as I get time since it is not my machine.

Anyone know of a good Mazak T2 guy in the Pittsburgh area? I just need to get this machine repaired to help out my dad. PM me if you have any info. Thank you.

    Hi Benganboll,

Sorry for the very delayed response but I am working on another project. I saw your April 23rd post on my thread for repairing my Dads QT10. If you have interest in helping me remotely with this repair, what would be your hourly fee? Send me a PM or let me know how to reach you.

    Thank you.
    Chuck
