hello, i opened the panel, and there was a black thing : i put some kind of taper on it, and now is more silent ... still bipping, but less
i don't know if i can disconnect it : should i rip it off from the green board ?
a while ago, on the lb lathe, i could disable the sound for keypress or screen touch ( only one, not both ), by messing with a setting, but i forgot / kindly

Most speakers have a 2 wire plug going to them that can just be unplugged. Is the speaker mounted directly on a circuit board. A picture might help determine the best way to unhook it. As for disabling in software sorry I can't help you there. The suggestion to unhook the speaker does not come from experience with okuma machines. I have done so on a hurco, and Haas though for the same reason.

looks like attached thing, and it is on the green circuit bord and near it is a blue button, that messed up the controller when i pressed it ... but there was another blue one, pressed also that, and i could not turn off the controller, and at next restart it could not back-up, but after another restart it was all back to " normal "
