Memory Lost After Sitting Idle for a Few Weeks

I was out of the country for a few weeks and did not power up the VMC for about 3-weeks.
When I powered up, all memory and machine settings were lost???
Not difficult to re-enter everything and all files are saved on the Calmotion SD card, but somewhat of a PITA.
Is this normal, expected after sitting idle, or is something possibly wrong.
    Any input appreciated.
    Thanks, Mark

Sir, you will need to replace the battery on your CPU board. It is in slot #5 of your control rack. Desolder the battery on the board and solder the new one back in. You will lose everything again so make sure it all is saved. Once the battery is replaced, run a zero memory procedure on the control then re-enter your parameters, programs and backlash values. If you shoot me your email address I can send you the Zero Memory Procedure. We also have the battery in stock. $15.

ok..., seems like any easy fix. the machine is a little over 10-years old (2007), so makes sense that the battery is shot.
    thanks,,,

Let me know if you need the zero memory procedure. It is a good idea to run this after a battery replacement. You can email [email protected] and request the Zero Memory Procedure and I will make sure you get it.
