    Mill Turn Recommendations

    Hello all,

My company is looking into purchasing a new lathe with mill turn capabilities. I have limited experience with an Okuma Multus, but am not familiar with any others. We do small runs (less than ten pieces) of small parts, so we were looking for something that would be easy to change set ups. Any information would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Long runs...Okuma
    Short runs...Mazak

Okuma is a better machine, but a mazak is much faster to program and set up.
Avoid fanuc or Haas lathes. They are ok for mills, but they are the worst for lathes.
