    Ruida Controller

Hey guys, I have gone with a grbl controller BUT many spout Ruida. Now I Know Ruida is good, that is obvious BUT which one AND what do I lose going with a Ruida vs grbl?? I'm not fussed in what I gain either have their functions I.e. cut and engrave
What are the pros and cons? Is there a site I can go to?

    Re: Ruida Controller

    Hi Shearder,
Grbl Controller is software that is designed to send GCode to CNC machines. It isn't super smart, it just needs to give the user a nice way to get commands down to whatever controller they are using.

A Ruida controller includes two things:
1- The necessary hardware to control a laser cnc system (can control: drivers, power supplies, sensors and came with a beautiful control panel with display to control the machine).
2- A proprietary software to prepare the files called RDWorks.

The controller Ruida is like a more "professional" option.
More simple to use, since the process of configuring files is more accomplished and is much more intuitive.

    Best wishes!

Many thanks for that. Once the grbl gets here i will test it out via an offline control panel and if it doesnt do it for me I'll go Ruida.
