Question Stepper motor, voltage and inductance

    Hello Dears,

    I have a burned-out steper motor : 86BHH76-400B-35J with technical data: Current: 4A, Inductance: 3.5 mH, Resistant: 0.62 Ohm
Can I replace it with 85BYGH450A-06-05J - Current: 4A, Inductance: 2.3 mH, Resistant: 0.5 Ohm

The difference are Resistant and Inductance.

My power supply is 70V AC and stepper driver dma860h. Machine works on low feed rate.

Looks like it should work fine (same current/torque)
Lower inductance so maybe a bit better high speed performance
Lower resistance so less power dissipation

    Thanks Dear,

are 70 Volts for the Inductance: 2.3 mH OK?

It should be fine, ripple current will be higher but I'm pretty sure the
DMA860 has a 50 KHz or so switching frequency so the ripple will be minmal

Thanks I will try, Hope will no damage anyting, Yes it is 70V AC.
