    IH Clone CNC Mill

    Hi Guys..

    I have my CNC build about 95% complete now. I just have to add the oiler pump and way covers...

    Nice build. What kind of spindle speed can you achieve with your setup?

    The factory designed and built this head based on the standard bearings from the original IH head. So 4000rpm is about the recommended max. Unfortunately when I asked the factory for more of them they said they didn't want to make them anymore.

    I am now building a new head with a cartridge spindle. That one will be rated for 8000rpm.

    I'm trying to update an old SANTEC bed mill with a Bridgeport head to CNC and would like to use ISO30 tooling. Where did you get the your cartridge spindle?
