EDGECAM ROUGH MILL STARTING WITH AN HELIX MESSAGE

Hi! Im machining a contour with a small diameter tool using a ROUGH MILL with WAVEFORM strategy. The toolpath is starting on the piece with an helix motion. The setting gives us two option: pre drilled hole and helix. How can i make the toolpath ROUGH MILL WITH WAVEFORM strategy to start from outside to inside ? Thanks in advance !

    Hi!

I think your option "stock type" isn`t choosed, if you choose "Current Stock" it should be starting outside of the part. IF you have inserted a stock

    See my attached picture.

If you only want to rough the outside, then pick 2 boundaries:-
    The 1st the part profile
The 2nd a rectangle bigger than the billet - it's size really doesn't matter as long as the cutter can easily fit between it and the billet. You will have manually create this.

Play with boundary options (in/out etc) in roughing to see different results.
