Replacing a Bridgeport Boss 8 EMC3 board with the right one.

Has anyone replaced a Bridgeport Boss 8 Emc3 card?
    Most have caution labels.
    Opperator Control- xxxxxx
    Front pannel- xxxxxx

Do the numbers have to match exactly?

Have you made progress with Boss 8 EMC3 card. I have a Boss 8 with the FMDC(2) card. Would you consider upgrading to a different controller?
