    Teco 7200MA VFD settings Help

    I have a Teco 7200MA VFD 240v 50/60hz. HP: 3 KVA: 4. output 3ph 240v 9.6amp
the original spindle motor has died, I have decided to replace it with a water cooled spindle.
    I have bought a Jianken JDG 80/2.2kw 220v 400hz 6A water cooled spindle
these are the VFD parameters sent with it
    power: 2.2kw
    max speed: 24000rpm
upper limit of the frequency: 400HZ
    rated frequency: 400HZ
time of speed up / down: 20~30s

need help with the setup parameters any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the user manual for the VFD but find it very confusing I would like to get it right first time rather than damage the spindle or VFD

Can you post a PDF of the manual I have some Teco VFD drive manuals but not that one yes you need more than just those parameters

This should get you going there may be some other Parameters to adjust or set

    Teco 2.2Kw 400Hz 24000 RPM Spindle

    BN-01=6 ( Acceleration Adjustable )

    Bn-02=8 ( Deceleration Adjustable )

    CN-02=400

    CN-03=220

    CN-04=400

    CN-05=200

    CN-06=110

    CN-07=120

    CN-08=66

    CN-09=8

    CN-10=50

    CN-19=30

    CN-25=110

    CN-26=110

    CN-34=4 ( Adjust up to 6 )

    CN-45=2400

    CN-46=02

SN-66=1 ( Auto Tune after all Parameters are set )

Im getting an PG parameter Error with the above settings
    "Quote from manual"
Cn-45 and Cn-46 must meet the following relationship:
    2 * Cn-45 * Cn-02 / Cn-46
?If not, an error message “Input Error” will be displayed

    Help

Your error is due to incorrect parameters.....the calculation the drive made with the parameters you were given is causing this error

    Help
    That's the spindle RPM

The CN46=2 for your 2 Pole motor

    CN02=400 which is correct

So CN-46 has to match the spindle RPM 24000 I'm not sure if it can accept 24000

So CN-46=24000 Not 2400 should correct this

The parameters are correct unless you know better:wave:

    CN-2=400
    CN-46=2 number of Poles
    CN-45=24000 spindle speed

    CN-45=2400 missing a 0

    well I have a problem. the Cn-45 parameter range is 0000.1 ~ 3000.0 P/R. is there a work around.

He has given you the wrong parameter to set, Like I said earlier, instead just asking someone on the internet get the correct answers from either the dealer or the maker.

Set it at the default of CN-45=0.0 and see what it does

I have contacted the makers first before posting and they haven't got back to me

Cn-45 parameter looks to be for encoder counts per revolution, I maybe wrong still learning

Is that what the book tells you? Looks as if its set up to give feedback for a rpm indicator.... If so that should be turned off. When I set up my Hitachi drive I only needed to change maybe 4 or 5 parameters, the rest I left at default. I just read through the manual to see which ones to change.

Re: Teco 7200MA VFD settings Help

    Out of the PDF

    (39) PG Parameter (Cn-45)
?The parameter is set in the unit of pulse/revolution. The factory setting is 0.1 P/R.
    (40) Pole Number of Motor (Cn-46)
?Cn-45 and Cn-46 must meet the following relationship:

    2 * Cn-45 * Cn-02
    Cn-46
    < 32767
?If not, an error message “Input Error” will be displayed

So Cn46 should be set at number of poles which is 2 try that. I did the calculation and it comes out 40 which is
    < 32757
The factory setting for Cn45 should be 0.1
    Cn 02 is Max Freq

Other than that, call the dealer in the morning and get the settings they want changed.

The factory setting for CN-45=0.0 not 0.1

CN-45 should be set to 0.0 he is not doing anything with that parameter if you set this Parameter you have to set other Parameters related to it

He already has CN-46 =2 and CN-02=400 check the Parameter list I posted
