    CNC for medical Screws

    Hello

Im looking for a CNC machine for medical screws and im confused between DMG mori Sprinter 20-8, Tornos Evo Deco 20 and Haas

DMG and Tornos are expensive and Haas is affordable,
    my desired Screws
Diameters between 2 and 10 mm
Length between 4 and 100 mm

    Material Titanium grad 5

can you please recommend us a machine from the 3 of the above or even other brand, The machine must be able to do self tapping Locking screw so that it can be screwd in Bone and Plate.

    Thank you

Hi - You may be able to machine them but you won't be able to forge the socket? They are rolled threads to improve strength, cut threads are not as strong. Plus don't they have to be certified? Why don't you buy them? cheaper then buying a mill? Peter

The threads are done by thread whirling and the socket what ever shape are cut on the machine also here is a video

You are looking at the wrong machines, you want a swiss type screw machine for these parts, here is just 3 of the main manufactures of these multi axes machines, your parts could be made on other multi axes machines but would not be as efferent as this type of machine

    Citizen

    Brother
