Hi Gents,
Still thinking about options for a future T Slot Build.
I know it is desirable that the linear rails on the X Axis are some distance apart to help prevent resonance.
I was thinking about ways to brace the 2 T Slot pieces.
First thought was to bolt a section of Aluminium across the back of both sections, but this would increase the weight signifcantly.
Then I wondered if it would be benficial to join both sections via 3rd section of T Slot, using 90° Brackets and the like.

Would that be useful to the design or would it just be a waste of material and money giving no benefit?

Do you think there any better options?

If this is the gantry beam, the best choice is one single large beam.

It is the Gantry Beam.
I didn't think a single beam would be available to purchase. The biggest I have seen is 160mm.
Is that big enough?
I know it depends on size of router itself and what one is cutting,etc, but it seemed a little narow.

Depends on the size of the machine, and what you intend to do with it.
