    how to change time and date

    hello,can anyone let me know how to change the date and time in LCNC.thks

    You can do it from either the command line or the GUI. For the command line either man date or man rdate. The GUI should be self explanatory. What version of Linux are you running?

    hi,i believe the version is 4.8.6.I did try the command line but did not success, because i am new to linux.can you let me know where can i change the date and time from the GUI.thks.

    Look under the "System Settings" for "Date and Time."

    You probably need to use 'sudo' to use date or rdate from the command line to change the date and time. Type "man sudo" for an understanding on how sudo elevates your privileges on the system to enable system changes.
