    Multiaxis toolpath fast movements on piece

    Hi all,
    I'm moving first steps on multi-axis toolpath with BobCAD, used with other CAD/CAM.

    I've tried many multi-axis strategies to work an impeller but resulting toolpath always place
    tool G0 movements inner piece (below surface).

    In this example and attached file I've used the Morph between 2 curves:

    When loaded in my CNC the gray path (G0) is almost all in resulting piece:

    Have you any suggestion ?

    What you have going on there is the Retract settings. You'll find this under the link tab. From there you can change the retract type and settings so the link moves aren't happening down and in the part but instead up and above.

    @aldepoalo,

    thank you so much now I was able to get right clearance movements.<

    Next step will be undestand how to avoid that tool collides with wings around surface:

    There are a few things you can do. But to start with I would not drive the tool to the edge of the hub surface.

    On the surface paths tab, go to the area section and for type change it to "full, start and end at exact exact surface edges" Click on Margins and check the "add internal tool radius"

    This will keep the tool away from the edge of the surface. Which will help to avoid running into the "wings" .

    If you are still having issues with the tool running into the "wings" then you'll use the gouge check tab and check surfaces. You can select the geometry you want to "check" as your check surfaces in this case the surface the tool is running into. Then you can choose a strategy to prevent it. In your example "Tilt Tool" to tilt the tool to avoid cutting into the "wing"

    You'll have to work with the settings to get everything right!

    @aldepoalo,
    thank you very much for your valuable suggestions.
    BobCAD-CAM and its strategies and tools are incredible.
    I am trying various solutions and parameterizations in addition to the power of the simulator provided.

    A very nice package!

    PS: I am a software eng. and not a usual CAD / CAM user, so the reason for my obvious initial difficulties.
