    Alarm EX1012 IN THE TOOL CHANGE AREA (Fanuc Robodrill ?-T21iFa)

    I tried turret restore procedure but get another Alarm OT0500 (Z)+ OVERTRAVEL (SOFT 1) during restore procedure.

    confirm the system number first then if you have original parameters of machines find stock limit parameters,after put the values in system parameters.
    also check conditions like door close,gaurd close,z axis interlocking parameters etc.

    I think you may have reset the turret, but the head is up too high in Z and is in the area normally reserved for tool change. This can happen when interrupt a tool change in progress. I pulled my hair out for a week when it first happened to me. I think there is a procedure outlined in the machine book for a "Manual return" Mine is an older control and may be a little different. Let me know if this helps point you in the right direction.
