    Newb Question

    Can someone list the basic components required on a CNC servo equiped system? What is required for the electronics on a cnc system using servos?

    Servo motors with matching motor drives
    encoders
    Power supply for motors
    Controller (power supply and computer interface)
    Control Software (step & dir on most drives)
    PC to drive the controller
    Cables, connectors

    i am using delta tau's umac for my cnc. i would like to find out how could i tune it to reduce the following error. i would like to get a maximum following error of 0.1 counts. could anyone help me eventhough you are not using the umac?..i need a rough guide on how to best tune it. anyone with expereince in maubally tuning your system pls help me...thx
