    Surface Plates Granite

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting so sorry for any mistakes.
A group of machinists in SEQ and I are importing some granite surface plates DIN 00 in a variety of sizes etc
We have some space left in the crate and we get charged the same amount for shipping if we fill this space or not.
So if anyone is chasing a quality surface plate at a great rate send me a message asap
Plates will be granite only not doing any cast iron in this run, i can arrange a truck to most of SEQ at your cost if you can unload at your end, I can load onto a truck if you arrange one to service other areas.

Quick update to save answering all the PMs payment will be done through Paypal so everyone will have buyer protection so, no plate no pay.
    Thanks

    Hi,

It looks like you don't have private messages turned on.

I'm very interested, but the issue is that I'm away for a full year. If someone wanted to store a plate for me, I would be in!

Also interested in a straightedge and cylindrical square.

    Hi everyone.
Just an update on how this went. We purchased a total of 14 plates and some smaller sudry items like squares and parralells.
    Results were fantastic.
Everything is accurate to within microns, the rulers where so flat we couldn't measure any deviation with a half micron indicator.
We may do another order later in the year so let me know if anyone is interested.
    Thanks dan

    Hi,
yes I would be interested in a good granite plate. My current mill project has 700mm beds so I would be looking for 800-900mm length.......is that
    doable?

    Re: Surface Plates Granite

    Hi,
it seems most granite plates are around 4:3 or there about. If I could get a plate 800x500 to around 900x600 I'd be good.
Getting it to New Zealand could be an expensive exercise though.

    Hi,
there are a number of manufacturers in the market and prices are competeitive, which is good. The real problem is how to get them from
China, or the US, or Europe.

What's the bet your $99 surface plate ends up double with shipping.

    Re: Surface Plates Granite

    Hi,
I need a plate of at least 700mm. I got a 900mm grade B plate from Auckland. It cost me $525 plus GST delivered to Christchurch.
    I am happy enough.
