    Burnt winding in a servo

    Hello

I have drive: Horyu Engineering 101949-101B-G
And servo: BL Super Sanyo Denki 65BM020HXEAB

One winding got burned, any clues why did it happen?

Sometime motor windings fail. Maybe a small manufacturing defect or a voltage spike. Maybe the motor was overloaded for some time and got too hot causing the winding insulation to weaken. This does not happen often, but it does happen.

Motor Regen and no Braking Resistor, if your servo motor is working hard the regen can stress the windings, if your servo motors work hard then a Braking Resistor can prevent bunt windings
