    200VDC Power Relay

Hi, would anyone know of a reasonably priced power relay, suitable for switching 200VDC @ 30A. I want an E-Stop switch that will kill the power to the R2020 drive with certainty. I don't like the idea of relying only on a soft e-stop.
    Thanks

Either P&B(tyco) PRD style relay available through Electromate or Newark.
Or for more poles you could use a contactor, there are many on ebay.
If you are switching DC it is not very wise to switch that much power without using a DC rated relay or one with arc blow-out, you can get the PRD with arc-blow out but cost alot more.
Switch the AC to the power supply is often the better way, together with dropping the enable on the drives.

    Thanks Al,
With regard to switching the AC to the PS, I was concerned that the large bank of caps. in the linear PS would keep the motors turning long enough to do some real damage. I do have some large mosfet type SSRs that are rated at 200VDC @ 40A. If an SSR and diode were placed in the positive line between the PS and the R2020 drive, would there be sufficient time after the SSR was switched for the drive to safely deal with any transient voltage from motor impedance. Am I risking the drive and or SSR with this kind of setup.
    Thanks

This is why I mentioned operating the drive enables at the same time as dropping the AC power, This should essentially turn the drives off immediatly, Unless you have a really large over-hauling load, I don't think you should have a problem.
