    Mazak T1 Alarms

    Hello,
A friend of mine reciently purchased a used Mazak Lathe with a Mazatrol T1 control. He bought at an auction so he has never seen the machine under power. Anyway he has powered it up and asked me would I have a look at it. There's two alarms on and they won't clear, alarm : 28 and alarm : 55 one says emergency stop and the other says motor overload I think. I'm just wondering how to clear them.

    Thanks,
    Mark.

The E-stop is probabally caused by the OL, this is probabally the spindle OL in the SP drive unit, If you have the big Mitsubishi DC drive, take the front cover off (4 screws) behind it is the Non-Fused Breaker, also while you have the cover off look at the small black flag fuse on the top left of the front board.
When you power up, look at the status LED's on the front PCB.

when you power it up, and don't move any axis or turn the spindle on you get that? are any of the parameters messed up? we just had a bunch of parameters showing up on our machine as "******" and that was causing a bunch of alarms to turn on.

if the drive light indicate it's alright may be a parameter issue
