Mach3 does not render the correct dimensions

    Hi all,

    Newbie here...

I used Inkscape to prepare my artwork (using inch as default unit). I then convert image to path and save as a SVG file. Next, I use MakerCam to generate gcode file (again i make sure I click "IN" (inch) as the default unit.

I then load the gcode into Mach3, again I go to Configurations and select "In" as native unit. So everything is in "Inches". The problem occurs when i run Mach3: it mills my image (just a letter W 1" tall x 1" wide) to about 1/8" x 1/8".

I have checked my times the native unit as "In" and save settings, Nothing works. I suspect the the stepper rate may be an issue.

I am desperately looking for any assistance or words of wisdom!

    Regards.

Re: Mach3 does not render the correct dimensions

It seems that you have the "Steps per unit" configured wrong in Mach3.

Go to the MDI line and run the command "G91 X1". The X axis should move exactly 1 inch. If it does not, you have a wrong "Steps per unit" value.
