I have two 6BC Miyano lathes. One works perfectly, the other will not 0 return without 214, and 224 alarms. I had a runaway and the tool ran into the collet nose with catastrophic results.
The electronics were repaired(2 E-Proms had to have prongs replaced).
Everything seems to work well, but for the inabillity to "Home" the axis'. Therefore negating automatic movement of said axis'. I've been looking around, and some have suggested a "Grid Shift". Could this be the answer? If so, how do I accomplish this? The hard limits are not even close to the soft limit stop. In fact, the return is exatly where it should be after measuring from the spindle nose. Oh yea, Miyano is no longer in business. So they are no help. Any and all help will be appreciated.
