Lightbulb MARVEL 81-9 VERTICAL BAND SAW Limit Switch Question.

Hello Friends and Fellow Machinists, Fabricators, Welders, etc...

I have a question for people who are familiar with Marvel 8 Series Tilting Bandsaws.
On my Bandsaw it has a Limit switch ( yellow circle ) that is tripped via a square bar that turns after a ramp dog
lifts the lever shown in red circle. The tripping lever slides fore and aft via the front jaws lower bar attachment.
How exactly does this unit work? What is it supposed to do exactly? On my Saw the unit doesn't seem to work, or shall I say do anything in particular upon the Limit switch being pushed. Does anyone know which wires make the switch function?
