Arrow 750 has no power on the PSR 4/5 250-7500

    Good Morning Everyone,

So I am having a problem with an Arrow 750 in my facility. The PSR 4/5, the VSF5 spindle drive and all of the axis drives have no power on them. No lights, nothing. They don't come on at all.
I have 120v coming into the C1 on the PSR and I have taken it apart to check the fuses but they are good. ( I read about some guys doing that on other threads.)

The machine has a Vickers arrow 2100 output board. One of the other problems is the machine was bought used and does not have any prints with it. None.

    Thank you

The 120vac on the PSR is converted to +_ 18 vDC and + 10 VDC from the PSR and goes to each drive for board logic ( daisy chain ). If you don't have any lights on the axis drives you need to look at the DC voltages.
    On the spindle drive plug C4 pin 5 is + 18 vdc, pin 6 is - 18vdc, pin8 is +10vdc and pin 7 is common. Pin 1 and 2 is 120 VAC

Answer is probably yes. Be careful who you send it to repair: many 3rd party folks do not repair our old drives well.

Did you check C4 voltages Mechardt55 gave you? If you have them, then your issue can be something else.

You need to send it to Mike Kilroy and no one else. Mike will fix your problem. Did you check the voltages??? Where are you located?

I have the voltage to the pins that daisy chain to the other drivers. But I don't have the main voltage to the unit. The contactor that supplies it pulls in when I press the power on. But then reads error on the spindle driver and throws a error on the control.
The spindle driver has already been for a repair.

All the axis drivers are read under volts. But that's obvious if the bus + and - haven't got any volts coming out from the power supply because the contactor won't hold in because there is a fault.

What voltage should come out from the bus lines on the power supply?

Search the Cincinnati forum for VFS5 and BDS5 posts. There are several handshakes and pieces that need to work to power the bus contactor on with no faults.
Bill Oehler can work with you on the phone if you have the prints for your machine that match those stamped on the serial plate; Control Diagrams, 9120xxxxyyy.
His contact info is on the site as well.
