    MPG inside.

Hi, this is my first post.
I want to ask you if any one know which is and how works the inside of manual pulse generator (MPG), I need to use a MPG to jog an axis but the binary inputs are 24VCD and my MPG has 5VDC single channel outputs. I need to know if any one have connected a MPG to 24VCD supply.
I attached a MPG I have. The specification says until 30VCD but I am afraid about that.

If your MPG is rated at 30VDC then you should be OK. But I have never seen a 30VDC MPG. It could be that the power for the MPG is OK for 30VDC, but the output may only be 5VDC. You may need to use opto-relays between the MPG and the 24VDC inputs, I have done this on low speed encoders to shift the voltage level.
