Question Driving 140V Baldor Servo with PMDX-126

    Any and all...

Getting to using Mach3 I am thinking of using Advanced Motion Control (AMC) 30A20AC PWM servo drivers with the PMDX-126 for full power on this incomplete control retrofit:

OEM CNC mill factory retrofit (Eagle) where other owner stalled on PMDX-126 RevC for repair / replace of original Anilam controller.

Problem (?) I am trying to solve:

Three Gecko 320X drivers in place now have 80V out put max. Baldor (Anilam Elec.) servos rated for 140V, 5.9Amp continuous, 30 Amp max.

It seems to me that the Geckos on this machine are under rated for above Baldor servos.

PDMX-126 has Smooth Stepper and PDMX-107 Spreed Control on board as well.

Is this proposed configuration, AMC 30A20AC PWM servo drivers (or similar AMC driver) with the PMDX-126 possible? Compatibility?

Any and all help / guidance / suggestions / other resources would be appreciated!

Re: Driving 140V Baldor Servo with PMDX-126

I retrofitted my Eagle and am using the original Baldor 140V servos. I'm running them on 70V with no problem. They won't turn at max speed, but who needs 400 IPM rapids anyway, they will run at 200 IPM, but I have it limited to 100 IPM.
