Internal Threading program help!! how to work out the P value

    Hello all!,

Can you please help with a G76 program issue for internal threading?

The code in question that is not giving us the desired results is as follows:

    G76 P030000 Q20 R.002
    G76 X.271 Z-.333 P360 Q20 F.04

    Spec of thread/plug gauge is:

    19/64 x 24 unjf 3B
    thread major 0.297
    thread minor 0.246
    thread height 0.026
    thread pitch 0.04

Our main concern is that we are not sure how the 'P' value is worked out? We have read that it is the thread height as a radial value with no decimal...our thread height has been measured at 0.026, but surely we wouldnt use P026 ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

P for inch programming is 1 micro inch ie P0001
    your P026 = 0.0026"
    try P0260
