I've had this sitting around for years and would like to use it as a rotary for welding.. Can anyone help me out by giving me some suggestions? I'm not even sure what the voltage is or determing how to verify the voltage.. Looks like a stepper motor, how many wires going into the motor?

I guess I would get one of those 120VAC input stepper drives, and a stepper speed controller. Both available from Ebay or Amazon.

That's the plug in the pic. It looks to me all 5 go into the motor..

Ok, I didn't see the wiring picture. So the question is that a 5 wire motor or a 4 wire motor with ground wire?

If it's a 4 wire motor then the Gecko drive should work fine.

If it's 4 wire with ground, then the green wire should go the the motor case, and would have near 0 ohms between the case and wire when measured with a meter.
