Question 120v Spindle and VFD recommendation

I'm currently in the process of putting together a QueenBee after being away for ~10 year with a DIY wood CNC. At that time I was running a Bosch Colt 1HP trim router.

This time arround I would like to go the Spindle and VFD way to keep noise down and to get something a bit more powerful. I mostly do woodworking and *some* aluminium.

I have been reading trough threads trying to find the best combo for 120v (Canada) currently available but havent found a clear answer.

Huanyang seems to be the best VFD for 120v. Is there a recomended model?

What about a Spindle 1.5kw (I know I wont reach the max on 120v)?

Is there a preferred aliexpress store to use?

The Bosch Router most likely will outperform the 110v 1.5Kw rated spindle

G-Penny has the better spindles a Genuine Huanyang is a good VFD for any of these spindles just get the VFD Drive the next size up from your spindle rating 1.5Kw spindle 2.2Kw VFD

If you can add a 240v single phase line, would be best 1.5Kw and 120v supply is not a great performer, 220v spindle 1.5Kw work really well if you run a 240v line for your machine do a 4 wire 30A circuit then you can have 120v and 240v from the same circuit for your machine, which is the correct way to do it.

It's pretty easy for me to add 240v and will be doing it for my tables. So if the 120v spindle is that horrible I might as well go 240v

Would I be better off with a 2.2kw combo or stick to the 1.5kw?

If your machine can handle a 2.2Kw then yes go with that, water cooled is the preferred spindles to buy also

Ok I'm back to the 1.5kw combo from G-Penny as the 2.2kw with a 30amp circute would cost me to much to put in.

The VFD is listed as 6.5amp is that correct?

The Spindle is listed as 6.5amps the VFD Drive would be more than that may be 7A to 8A for the 1.5Kw VFD

Some of the specs are incorrect being air-cooled spindle it has a minimum speed of around 8,000 to 12,000 RPM depending on how well the fan works

This is 220v so are you going to install the 240A 30A circuit, you can install this yourself with some guidance

So, the 220v spindle amps at say 7A this will require 15A / 240v at the input to the VFD Drive
