Hello,
I just bought a 1990 Haas VF1. I am trying to drip feed it, as the memory is very small. All the instructions say to turn on setting 55. Mine stops at setting 54. It is in Yasnac coordinate mode. Will setting that to Fanuc turn on more settings or am I just screwed? I made a rs232 cable and can upload and download programs without issue. Just the memory is too small to do much. Thanks!

hey ron, the yasnak mode if refering to setting 33 is really just how the machine sees the g52. if in fanuc or haas the g52 is applied to all work offsets if in yasnak it turns g52 into just another work offset. it also affects g92 to some degree. as for the rs232 set parameter 57 to 1 after that go into settings type in 55 and then hit the down arrow. depending on the control you might have to turn on setting 7 witch allows you to edit parameters first.

MDI mode (as in fanuc)?
Parameters 6030 to 6049 have been lost.
I have them on paper.
