Question Cutting thin iron foil (0.05mm or 0.02mm),which laser?

    Hi All,

I am new to this website and also new to laser cutting

I am trying to cut a thin ironfoil (0.05mm or 0.02mm) using laser. I have been told the laser type and wavelength might effect the cutting and I have to check before getting the laser module.

I tried to read things online but still not sure, so I hope I can get help in here.

    I found this laser module:
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/27406272405...EaAlNLEALw_wcB

I am not sure the power (2.5W) is enough to cut through 0.05mm or 0.02mm iron foil and if the wavelength (450nm) will not get reflected?

I would really appreciate any information or suggestions.

    Regards

You will need a fiber laser with 200W at last for good finishing, Are you sure is 0,02mm and not 0.2mm?
